This cover is a whole campaign hook by itself: nine rivals suspended like specimens, each face a different kind of trouble, all orbiting the one central prince who looks like he’s already planning the betrayal. Woodroffe turns the whole thing into a psychedelic reliquary, like stained glass for a doomed royal line. It’s very ’70s UK paperback in the best way. It’s concept-forward, a little uncanny, and weirdly classy. No dragons, no castles, no shirtless barbarians. Just the quiet promise of sibling war across infinite worlds, sealed in amber like a curse you can hold in your hands.
