Lin Carter was sometimes maligned as a writer without original ideas. I think it's wrong. The Green Star series to give an example in the sword and sorcery field depicts the opposite, while his tales of Lovecraftian horror are equally good. Right I am a long-standing fan, so I'm partial to his work. But he did a lot of work as editor and author and I cherish the paperbacks I have.
